Blue Choli Bodice I Made 2010

I often wear this in my Pirate Costume, but You can also wear it for bellydance, clubbing, whatever.

It's made from an old Chinese dudou that I bought in Flushing Chinatown New York (2002). But, it was so poorly made that there was no use in fixing it, since I'd fixed it multiple times.

So, I made this!

I didn't have a pattern. I just "felt y way" through the process of making it.

Sounds like psychic sewing! LOL!

The back was from an old Chinese fusion top I'd bought at the Cherry Hill Mall in NJ way back in 2003.

Same deal, poorly made, cheap plastic fiber fabric.  It's machine embroidered with a "feng huan" (often translated as "Chinese Phoenix").

The inside lining is real vintage 1970s silk from China.

Marshall Kändiß Dances Live @ Marcus Hook Pirate Fest 2012

Marshall Kändiß Dances Live @ Marcus Hook Pirate Festival 2012

These photographers were taken by Pirate Pebbs

This is a skirt dance using a 25 yards red satin Gypsy skirt imported from India. I'm dancing a Tribal fusion style improvisational which some from many styles of dance from bellydance to North African, Turkish, Indian, Mediterranean, etc.

I think some of the band members might've been friends of Pirate Pebbs, but the crowd wasn't much involved with observing the show, so I began dancing, and before I knew it there was a large crowd of people, which kept growing.

New England Autumn Pyrate Marshall Kändiß Photoshoot

Extra Photos.

I actually don't even remember how I shot these....

If I could replicate these I'd do it more often, and I know I wasn't using my tripod.

2011 Cloudy New England Autumn Pyrate Photoshoot

The clouds in New England drive me NUTS! Perfect weather, perfect time of the day!

You throw on your costume, your makeup, ur camera batteries are charged... but, AS SOON as you get outside the 1 giant cloud blocks the position of the sun and drives you NUTS!

Ticks me off!

I made the bodice! It's made of old camisoles I bought at Urban Outfitters in Phialdelphia in 1998 when I won a raffle prize at the U-ARTS, on Braod Street Center City.
They material is made of acitate, and they were manufactured here: MADE IN USA.

But, I couldn't fit the,, so I cut them up, and made the bodice.
