Vintage Leather

The black pants are really old. Maybe created in 1994, but I got them on sale for my 16th birthday.

I am planning to disassemble them n refurbish them. I don't like the 80s/90s khaki cut look, n they were made by Wilson leather cut for men's hips, not women's.

The leather top is vintage 2001, popularized style worn by Aaliyah before she died from Wet Seal.

Red Boho Scarf Tunic Top I Made

Made this a few years ago, from some bandanas that my step-mom Libby gave me from NJ. She likes to sew, but she gets so much stuff given to her that she donates what she doesn't want.
And, she gave a bunch of stuff to me.

Blue Choli Bodice I Made 2010

I often wear this in my Pirate Costume, but You can also wear it for bellydance, clubbing, whatever.

It's made from an old Chinese dudou that I bought in Flushing Chinatown New York (2002). But, it was so poorly made that there was no use in fixing it, since I'd fixed it multiple times.

So, I made this!

I didn't have a pattern. I just "felt y way" through the process of making it.

Sounds like psychic sewing! LOL!

The back was from an old Chinese fusion top I'd bought at the Cherry Hill Mall in NJ way back in 2003.

Same deal, poorly made, cheap plastic fiber fabric.  It's machine embroidered with a "feng huan" (often translated as "Chinese Phoenix").

The inside lining is real vintage 1970s silk from China.

Pirate Pebbs Gave me a Gift A Summer Top

A Gift From Pirate Pebbs:
A Summer Indian Boho Scarf Tunic

I'd actually never worn one of these, and was afraid to because I'm very busty.

I didn't think I would fit it, and Pirate Pebbs remarked that it was odd that I hadn't worn it.  I'd sort of been out of my mind, from emotional exhaustion, physical exhaustion, having lost my job, and a string of all sorts of bad or weird luck (her too). So, I felt bad.
Then, after taking a break and spending some time in New York for a weekend, I came back to Boston and unpacked.

Then I realized:
Oh! The straps can be untied & retied!
Oh, and if I wear a bra, I could wear this!

Seems like a no-brainer... but, I'd really been through alot!
