Boho Chic Early Summer

These were a few photos I shot way way back, like may or June. This was was actually somewhat humid, just not too hot. But, they turned out horribly.

I was going through an incredibly stressful situation trying to help something, and someone, and all Hell broke loose... I couldn't get sleep...

And, I guess I have a "hero complex" or a "heroic archetype" of a personality, that I just can't stand to see helpless individuals undergo horrible things, situations, etc...

Unfortunately... if you've ever watched "Game of Thrones" and know what happened when Daenerys went out of her way to help amend some injustices, and help some people, they pretty much turned on her later on in utter ingratitude, and made Hell in her life needlessly, and tragically in the first season.

So, that's what pretty much occurred on my end, just in a different way...

So, if I look like I've been through Hell.... yeah, it's kinda something like that....

But, that's OK... because when it's all done, and over with, it'll be a whole other situation for... well, can't say. But, I'll be the one with some dragons, so to speak (metaphorically).

Ridicule from people that can't be bothered doesn't mean Jack to me. Because all the ridicule u can spew out won't change what I understand, and doesn't evaporate truth.

I understand what "lazy" really is. And, there's a difference between lazy and exhaustion + stress... and if I'm the lazy one, then why is it I'm so exhausted from all the "work" I did. It's called due diligence by some, if not many

I've done MORE homework just THIS year, than I have done in all the years on my entire life combined. But, this genie can't stay in the bottle.

Again, sorry for being cryptic... but, I'm heading in a good direction now. And, when my ship comes in, I'm gonna help quite a bit of people that truly deserve it.

I couldn't care less about revenge... I'll be too busy with all the good stuff. :D And, by good, I'm not talking some selfish egotistical self-centered something. I mean, I'm gonna do quite a bit to help the people I love.

That's about all I can say... legally.

But, here's some more music:

So far this summer...

Quite a bit of my projects are still on hold due to some pending stuff tied up with stuff, let's say overseas, including funds and issues involving delays, and so on, and some greedy, arrogant, pompous jerks. Quite frustrating, really. But, whatever...

I wouldn't wish this onto anyone, what I've endured. Just managing my stress, and doing better now.

I blogged about quite a bit of the exercise stuff I've been up to all summer on my other blog here.

I'm going somewhere next week. Gonna be gone for a while... not too long.

I just hope my other stuff doesn't interfere with it. Hopefully, it won't... on the other hand, in a way, I wouldn't mind, but, it'll make make work for me...

Sorry, to be cryptic, but I have legal reasons to considder.

But, I do know for a fact, there's quite a lot of good things going on. I just can't disclose what those are, nor how I know, nor why.

Anyways, It's been a pretty musical summer for me. I keep getting popular on 8Tracks. Every day I get several likes or followers, and I have a wide list of "albums" of "mixes" now. I've been doing quite a bit of ambient, New Age, ethnic, and bohemian stuff this summer... but, also still do lots of TECHNO... I just haven't made a techno list in a while.

I thought I'd share some of my newer mixes:

I actually haven't done much photography this year...

But, I do have some new stuff on Flickr.

But, I frequently vacillate from a 90s Nostalgia Generation X kick, to Bohemian flavor or fantasy, or SciFi.

Whatever... gotta do my artist thing...

I will be posting some of my photography to my Photo blog.  I mostly only did some flowers & lake/pond study/focus stuffs... nothing major.

I've also been sketching this summer with my daughter, but it's crap. :-/

Oh, and I LOVE plants!

I finally got stuff to grow on my overly shady so-called balcony (on the first floor). Blueberries!!!

I'm also growing lemongrass, greens, lentils, aloe vera, parsley, and herbs.

90s Nostalgia!

Ever since about late January I would find myself with 90s Nostalgia! Frequently!

I found myself listening to everything from "Black Box", to "L.O.F.T.", to "Corona", to "Rockell", to "Lasgo".

Anyways, I kept having an uptick with people "liking" my mixes which began having a trend to old school 4/4 beats techno, like: Hi-NRG, Eurodance, Happy Hardcore, etc.

So, I went to 8tracks, and thought about doing some other mixes... I did another bohemian mix....

Then, I felt like doing 90s stuff....

So, I made an underground 90s mix of Dance & Hip Hop with quite a bit of UK & Euro types of stuff...

Next thing I knew, I was publishing lots of techno. Especially 90s, and a lil' bit of the early 2000s.

Makes me miss Pirate Pebbs & going to Karaoke.

We'd discussed producing her a theme song, and maybe some singles. But, we lack funding. I have no idea what she would do her theme song as... I figure if I helped her produce an E.P. it might sound something like Prince's 80s classic "Purple Rain" album, or just general pop & dance, maybe some nautical fusion.

However, if I were to do a theme song I'd do it as an old school style Hi-NRG Eurodance techno, but ALSO have a Tribal-fusion Folk version, with violins, zills, doumbeks, and maybe some kind of strings like dulcimers, lutes, mandolins, something like that... I dunno, something with Yo-ho-ho, ya-ya-yo... I dunno, Pirate-ish stuffs! That way I could sing in karaoke & clubs, but also preform with a live band at Pirate & Ren' fairs... ;) 'cause some folks are kinda "purist" and snobby. And, id probably make a funny video...

If i produced an album, I'd also have to do the same thing. Do the Techno version, and THEN do the songs in another album in the analog version with real acoustic & hand played interments.

I like the techno theme because of the Eurodance angle & the whole "fusion" and Steam Punk, and futurism... and the "pirate" side of downloading things, stealing intel, covert stuff, or all kinds of futurism themes popular in the 90s in Europe. Sounds like a lot of fund to play with! Zeplins, and Dirigibles, and space ships... Holodecks, Virtual reality... I LOVE Star trek, and Star Wars, and exotic things...

But, I also like the Tribal fusion stuff, and ancient Arabic & Egyptian beats, and Nautical whiles, Celtic & folk music, or New Age, Gypsy, or Revolutionary marching drums. Maybe even Pigeon English, ha!

If I were to produce a techno E.P. It would be a mix of sounding like "La Bouche" and "Blümchen". I would ALSO like to do some songs NOT in English! Thankfully, we live in a time period where people can move beyond the stuck-up attitude of English Only. I'd probably just stick to languages I can deal with, like: German, Mandarin, and maybe Pekingese. But, I think some Arabic fusion could be good. Yella Habibi! :D
Too bad, I don't have the funds for that tho... right now... AND, since I had surgery on my throat I'd need vocal coaching for a while...

So, it's kinda just a dream I/we have... for now... kinda frustrated, because if something had gone through like it was supposed to, I could already be started on any of that. That, and I also have some other creative things/productions including animation/video/publishing also which could've at least started going into beginning fazes of production, which is also why I've been so quiet. But, I can't move forward until THAT stuff does.

But, I'm still broke over hear... It's like being stuck in limbo... I have the money, but I DON'T. It's like being stuck between it. And, I'm running out of food too.

It's really a shame because I have SO many talented friends, associates, but they can't get work either.

Zimbelmann: My 1st Zills Egyptian Brass

My Dad bought me my 1st zills (my ONLY ZILL SO FAR) in 2009. Also called "finger symbols".

He said I needed to get some.

Ironically, my name "Zimbleman" comes from the original German surname "Zimbelmann" coming from the root "Zimbeln" (zills) & "Mann" (man) which means "zill player" or  can translate to "dulcimer player" or "zither player".
Very Oriental, right?

I thought we just descended from just farmer/clock-makers & craftsmen.

But, apparently, my ancestors in ancient Germania were musicians. Well, it makes sense, since all my family in my father's family are very musical in all things. Music is almost sacred (if not totally scared) to my father, brothers, my grandfather, my grandfather's family...

So, he (my Dad) bought them (the zills) for me. He ordered them from Canada (but they are made from Egyptian tuning brass in Egypt), which took a long time to arrive.

But, then later he says my bellydancing embarrasses him. IDK

Whatever...
Most Tribal belly dancers like the LARGE zills, but, I think I like the petite ones.

I should practice more. It's good for your brain!

Pirate Festival Spaghetti Dinner Night in Marcus Hook PA 2012

Marshall Kändiß The Pyrate

Pirate Festival Spaghetti Dinner Night  in Marcus Hook PA

Pirate Pebbs couldn't make it. I went through so much trouble trying to get my ticket from Black Beard whom lived down the street from Pirate Pebbs.

Marcus Hook is a Historic town known to Pirates & Port market in olden times.

The Towns Folk laid out quite the welcome for me, and serviced me all the food I bade them bring forth, with much relish & zeal. The kind dearies!

And, I posed for many a picture for the doting common folk.

Autumn 2012
The evening before to kick-off the Pirate Festival in Marcus Hook!

Expensive makeup! Lemme tell you!

Yike! Lens cap in the shot!
